STEPHEN GOSIN, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Stephen Gosin received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He completed his Surgical Residency at Jefferson, where he was Chief Resident in General Surgery. He is Board Certified in Surgery.

Dr. Gosin was an officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, and Program Director of their Surgical Residency program. After military service, he came to the Jersey Shore, and has been in private surgical practice for over 30 years. A leader in the medical and civic community, he has served Shore Memorial Hospital as Past Chairman, Department of Surgery, Past Director (and Founder) of the Division of Vascular Surgery, and Past President of the Medical Staff. In 1985, Dr. Gosin founded the area’s first noninvasive vascular laboratory at Shore Memorial.

Dr. Gosin has an active General, Laparoscopic and Vascular Surgical practice. His extensive General Surgery experience includes surgical oncology, breast surgery, colorectal surgery, thyroid/parathyroid surgery and hernia repair. He is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons, and a member of many other professional societies, including The Vascular Society of New Jersey and the International Society for Endovascular Surgery.

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Gosin is an avid pilot. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
